Frequently asked questions
- Do I need to be resident to set up a company?
- No. A non-resident can be a shareholder and director, but first needs the foreign investment authorisation. This is the step that sets the pace of the whole process, so it is best to start it as early as possible.
- Can I set it up without travelling to Andorra?
- Signing before a notary requires someone to be present, either you or a representative. If you cannot come, we prepare a power of attorney so the signing does not depend on your schedule.
- Once registered, can it start trading?
- One step remains: census and tax registrations, and the bank account. Without an open account there is no real trading, and this is the step that most often takes longer.
