Frequently asked questions
- What proves recognition in your field?
- A documented track record: achievements, publications, awards, contracts, public profile. There is no fixed list, which is precisely why the preliminary assessment carries more weight here than in other routes.
- Is it suitable for active athletes?
- It is one of the routes designed for that profile. Sporting documentation (federation, results, contracts) forms the core of the application.
- Is it faster than other passive residences?
- Not necessarily. It is more discretionary: the substance of the case is assessed, not just formal compliance with a list.
- Does the career need to be ongoing?
- This residence is not for working here, but a career that ended years ago carries far less weight than ongoing activity, even if it takes place outside Andorra.
- Can I combine it with an Andorran company?
- You can hold one, but if you are going to invoice from Andorra, what you need is active residence. Mixing the two is one of the most costly corrections we see.
