Frequently asked questions
- Who starts the process, the company or me?
- The company. The permit is tied to the job, not the person, so the employer opens the file. We work with both sides so it doesn’t stall for lack of documents.
- What happens if I change jobs?
- The permit is tied to that employment relationship: changing company means applying again. It is best to avoid any gap between one contract and the next.
- Can I bring my family?
- Yes, through family reunification, provided you meet the housing and financial requirements. It is a separate file and works better if prepared in parallel, not afterwards.
- What is the quota and why does it affect the process?
- Andorra caps the number of work authorisations it grants through quotas. If the quota for that category is used up, the file waits even if the paperwork is flawless. It is the variable the company controls least, and it is worth checking before signing a contract with a fixed start date.
